Are You Organized and Free?
At this time of year we are reminded of how blessed we are here in America to have liberty and freedom: freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to pursue our hopes and dreams, and so on. God bless America!
It is with this thought of freedom that I'd like for you to think about how free you are in your own homes and office spaces.
I've often seen the slogan "A messy desk is a sign of genius". We sometimes are so busy with creating or simply just keeping up with life that we find ourselves waist deep in piles of clutter.
My question to you is this: does the clutter and lack of organization bother you? Does it stress you? Does it hinder you from reaching your goals? If your answer to any of these is yes, then you are actually living in a chokehold of mess that's keeping you from experiencing true freedom.
Begin today by organizing one specific space. It can be a countertop or a desk drawer. Pick a spot and determine to gain back control of that space. Keep that space clear of clutter for a week or two. Once you are successful in that, turn your attention to another space you would like to organize and repeat the process.
I can tell you from experience that it is truly freeing to have control over my spaces. When I know exactly where to find any particular item without digging through mounds of unrelated artifacts, it's saves me time, aggravation, and do-overs.
How free are your spaces making you feel at this moment? How free would you like to feel? Begin today to let freedom ring in your spaces!
