daisy bullet Organize Your Spring Chores daisy bullet

March marks the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring. Now is the perfect time to start planning your Spring chores.

You can begin your planning by making a list of everything you can think of that you would like to accomplish this Spring. This list will consist of chores both inside your home and out.

Do you need to prep the flower beds? Is it time to take inventory of your garden supplies? Does your lawn mower need a tune-up? When do you plan to order mulch? List any activity necessary for getting your yard and garden ready for the new season.

What needs doing inside your home? Is it time to take the curtains down and wash them? Do you need to clean and organize your laundry room? Will you need to pack away your winter clothes and get your summer clothes ready to wear? Does your air conditioning unit need servicing?

Once you have your list of tasks written down, you are now ready to prioritize these activities. Decide which chores are most important to do. Can some of the tasks you've listed wait until later in the season? If so, set these aside for now.

You will need to have your planner or calendar in hand to begin scheduling your chores. Set aside "appointments" for each task you need to complete, beginning with the most imortant. With each outside activity you schedule, make a note of an alternative chore should the weather not cooperate for you on that day.

Whenever you plan to-do tasks such as this, keep in mind the importance of pacing yourself. If you schedule too many chores for the same weekend, you may begin dreading the appointment you've made with yourself. To keep from being overwhelmed, only plan one or two activities per day. This will keep you motivated to get your jobs done.

Next, make a list of any supplies you will need to accomplish your Spring chores. Set aside time to purchase and gather these items before your projects begin. When the appointed time arrives you will be all set to begin.

Be organized this Spring by planning your tasks ahead of time. Determine which chores are most important to complete and begin gathering the tools and supplies necessary for your projects. Have these chores scheduled to ensure you don't forget what needs to be done. With your plan in hand, you'll be all set for the new season.
