You know what I mean. The holidays are fast approaching, your To-Do list is a mile and a half long, you run all over town trying to find that particular toy little Billy has been asking for since last July, cards need to be bought then signed then mailed, . . .

Whew! With all the hustle and bustle of holiday preparations, have you forgotten to schedule some down time for yourself? If you haven't already done so, do it now!

Give yourself the best gift of all this year -- the gift of actually enjoying the season.

Block off some time for you. This could be a long soak in the tub by candlelight. Say "no" to those activities you aren't that thrilled about anyway. Stop and watch the snowflakes fall, if you live in a colder climate.

Sip some hot cocoa while listening to your favorite Christmas carols. Read the Christmas stories to your children that were your favorites as a youngster. Consider having your holiday dinner partially or entirely catered.

Take a few moments today to envision a less hectic holiday. What does that look like to you? What would make that possible? Then intentially choose to make that happen, however you define it.

Choose that this holiday season will be more relaxing. Otherwise your tinsel will definitely be in a tangle and you'll be left fantasizing about never having to go through another holiday again!
